Jonathans Afghan
This is a pattern I found on Bev's Country Cottage and I just fell in love with it. I am due with baby #4 in April and thought I would make him a afghan to bring him home in and so I pick up some baby yellow yarn and in the yarn it has piece of yarn that are all different colors. This yarn would be great for a boy or a girl. My 5 year old daughter will also be making a hat to go with this (post the hat as son as she is done).
I started this on the Dec 27, 2006 and was going goo tell I ran into a stopping point. I found that my yarn changed after 36 rows. I stop for 3 to 4 days thinking what I would do with it. Well what I came up with was Baby Yellow on both sides of the colored strip and now I think it is great......I finished it today (Jan 10,2007). My baby boy will have his blanket to come home in.

Yarn wreath
It took me two days to do this but that was is my spare time.....it is now hanging on my door so everyone can see it........You could also make it more better by hot gluing some balls or other Christmas this to it.....
What you need
1 wire hanger
2 or more colors of yarn
Pair of scissors
Piece of card board
First you will take the hanger and make it into a circle. Once that is done you need to know if you want to tie or slip your yarn bows on.
Now that is done you will need to take your card board and wrap it 10 times. Cut it off rolled yarn. Cut another piece of yarn. Take your yarn off the card board and tie it with that piece you just cut. Now if you have chosen to tie them on you will just take it to your hanger and tie it in a knot two times to stay. If you have chosen to slip it on you will need to unhoop the two pieces of the wire and then slip it on. When you are putting them on you need to make sure that place them in different directions.
One you are done hanger on your door.
Now these can also be done for just about any season
Valentines Day - Red and pink
St. Patrick's Day - two different shades of green
Easter - baby pastels
4th of July - Red, White and blue
Halloween - orange and black
Thanksgiving - orange and brown
Christmas - Red, green and white
Father's Day - 2 shades of blue
Mother's Day - pinks, reds (favorite color of that mother)
New baby - pinks, blues, yellow and white (depends on the sex of the baby)
You could even do one for your child birthday with there favorite color

Loomed Hats
I made these hats on the Kitty Knifter looms. These where giving away as gifts. They took me one day to do the hole hat.
Blue hat was done on the red loom....I e-wraped it 10 times then made the brim. I started e-wraping it 9 more times then added the other color. E-wraped the new color 6 time then back to the blue and e-wraped 9 more time then closed it off.
Purple Fun Fur hat was done on the green loom. I e-wrap the purple and the funfur together 10 time made a brim then too the funfur off and keep e-wraping 22 to 25 time then closed it off.
Both kids loved them.
